The fort provides tours giving a detailed history. There is a safe route which includes the magazine area and lamp passages. No unaccompanied children can be admitted as the fort is unsafe in parts.

As part of Heritage Open Days, come for free guided tours of Landguard Fort's Outer Batterys. Access to these areas is normally restricted. Minimum age 16. Please wear sensible clothes and footwear.
